About Us
Our Future Milwaukee is an independent, non-governmental coalition of community-based organizations dedicated to supporting climate action in Milwaukee County.
Knowing that climate change affects every aspect of our lives - from the air we breathe to the food we grow -- and that it has a disproportionate impact on low-income households and communities of color,
we support climate action that addresses local conditions and creates
economic opportunity for underserved populations.
By working together, we amplify our voices and expand our impact.

We envision an environmentally sustainable and socially just community, in which all residents can thrive.
Our Mission
Our Future Milwaukee Coalition advocates for the full and fair implementation of
Milwaukee's Climate and Equity Plan.
We also support efforts to create and implement a county-wide climate action Plan.
Our Story
Our Future Milwaukee Coalition is the only organization dedicated to ensuring that Milwaukee's Climate and Equity Plan is fully and fairly implemented. Although we began our work with on eye on the City's plan, we have expanded our efforts to include County action.
Our coalition was initiated by individuals who were part of the workgroups that created Milwaukee's Climate and Equity Plan. Their legacy of citizen engagement is carried on by members of the coalition, who attend quarterly meetings, participate in workgroups, and organize community action.
